Superstar Teachers!
Miss Zoe began dancing as a young child after watching a live dance performance with her family and announcing she wanted to 'dance like the big girls!'. Within a few weeks, her mum, Alison, who you'll see around the school, had enrolled her into a local ballet class. Little did she know that that young dancer meant what she said and would one day 'dance like the big girls!'. Zoe trained at a local dance school in a wide range of dance styles taking examinations up to Advanced level with RAD and ISTD. After completing school Zoe applied to study dance full time at college, enrolling onto 2 courses BTEC ND Dance and A Level Dance. Zoe gained the highest grade possible in both courses, receiving 100% in her practical examinations. By this stage Zoe had decided that dance teaching was the pathway she was passionate about and she gained a place at The University of Chichester to study her first dance degree, BA (Hons) Dance. Zoe specialised in dance teaching throughout her 3 year degree and focused her entire dissertation on the subject, teaching dance in Primary, Secondary and FA institutions whilst she studied. Upon completing her first degree, Zoe was offered a place on the University's Masters degree programme allowing her to spend a fourth year at University refining her skills. Zoe's MA again focused on dance teaching and education, examining correct teaching techniques, anatomy of growing dancers and much more. During her fourth year Zoe continued to teach in schools and gained further roles within private dance schools. It was during this year that ZC Dance was born. Zoe put all of her education and training into opening a Devon based dance school that represents everything she believes in. Compassionate dance classes that are inspiring, uplifting and taught with to high standards.
Zoe completed further training with The National Association of Teachers of Dancing and UKA Dance that allow her to enter dancers for exams.
Zoe is fully committed to her dance school and her students. She strives to encourage the creativity of young people whilst guiding them through their own dance journey.
